President - Laura Denham
The President shall serve as the chief executive officer of the organization and, subject to control of the Executive Committee and the direction of the membership, shall in general supervise and control all of the activities of the Chapter. The President shall be a member of the Executive Committee and, when present, shall preside at all meetings of the Committee and all meetings of the membership. |
Vice President - Priscilla Kimball
The Vice President shall be a member of the Executive Committee and, in the absence of the President, shall perform the duties of the President. The Vice President shall perform all legal duties assigned by the President. The Vice President shall assume the office of President if the office becomes vacant. |
Treasurer - Sheri Stinson
The Treasurer shall be a member of the Executive Committee, and shall handle all financial affairs and budgeting of the organization, maintain all necessary accounting records, and prepare monthly financial reports for the membership. These records shall be maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The Treasurer shall collect and deposit all dues and fees. The Treasurer shall maintain bank accounts in the organization’s name, requiring signatures of both the Treasurer and President for authorized disbursements. |
Secretary - Nina Kokami
The Secretary shall be a member of the Executive Committee, and shall take minutes at all meetings of the organization, keep these on file, and submit required copies to all organization members. The Secretary shall be responsible for all organization correspondence and shall keep copies thereof on file. The Secretary shall receive from the Treasurer the list of all Members who have paid dues and prepare the official list of Members eligible to vote and maintain membership records for the organization. |
Historian - Elizabeth Garcia
The Historian shall be a member of the Executive Committee. The Historian shall be responsible for publicity for all events of the Chapter and shall act as a liaison between the school and the media. The Historian shall keep the official history of the Chapter and shall keep an annual record of all activities of the Chapter. The Historian is responsible for managing all social media accounts of the organization, including but not limited to: the website and Facebook page. |
Event Planners - Sarah Horner
The Event Planners shall be members of the Executive Committee. The Event Planners shall oversee all Chapter events, and help the Chapter plan and organize events such as fundraising and sponsored walks. Both event planners will share responsibilities and planning for all chapter events. |

The Graduate Student Representative - Jessica Terry
The Graduate Student Representative shall be a member of the Executive Committee. The Graduate Student Representative shall be a current student in the CSUSM SLP Master’s Program. The Graduate Student Representative shall represent the interests of the Graduate students and serve as an official liaison between NSSLHA and the Graduate Student Members. In the instance that this position is not filled by a separate individual, the president will have the ability to assign this as a secondary role to a current Graduate Student who may already hold office in another capacity. |
The Undergraduate Student Representative - Katherine Brehm
The Undergraduate Student Representative shall be a member of the Executive Committee. The Undergraduate Student Representative shall be a current student in the CSUSM SLP Bachelors Program. The Undergraduate Student Representative shall represent the interests of the Undergraduate students and serve as an official liaison between NSSLHA and the Undergraduate Student Members. In the instance that this position is not filled by a separate individual, the president will have the ability to assign this as a secondary role to a current Undergraduate Student who may already hold office in another capacity. |

The Post-Bac Student Representative shall be a member of the Executive Committee. The Post-Bac Student Representative shall be a current student in the CSUSM SLP Post-Bac/Prep Program. The Post-Bac Student Representative shall represent the interests of the Post-Bac students and serve as an official liaison between NSSLHA and the Post-Bac Student Members. In the instance that this position is not filled by a separate individual, the president will have the ability to assign this as a secondary role to a current Post-Bac Student who may already hold office in another capacity. |
The ASHA/NSSLHA/CSHA Student Liaison - Natalia Hernandez
The ASHA/NSSLHA/CSHA Student Liaison shall be a member of the Executive Committee. The Student Liaison shall be a member of National NSSLHA and CSHA in order to communicate to the chapter of information such as but not limited to: scholarship opportunities, leadership positions, and conferences/events. The Student Liaison shall, when appropriate, inform National NSSLHA and CSHA of Chapter Events and happenings. The Student Liaison shall also help promote CSHA and NSSLHA membership. |
